Great Auk : This penguin
like bird which resided in the north Atlantic are now extinct. As
they
didn't how to fly, the hunters mercilessly slaughtered the defenseless
creatures by smashing their heads with rods and sticks.
Dodo : A leg in the British museum, a head in the Copenhagen museum
and few bones in Prague are the remains of a magnificent bird which
inhabited Mauritius.
Labrador Duck : Due to over hunting, this bird became extinct in
north America in the year 1875.
